Christmas Minis

I know it has been a while but I tend to want to do so many things, specially during this season.  The following are 2 of 4 minis that I gave.  Not sure where the paper is from, because I've had this 4x6 unmarked stack for a while, they are from 3 different Holiday collections.

There will be another post soon on the other two.

Costume Party

Last weekend we had a costume party, this was our first time hosting one, and I have to tell you it was a lot of fun.  Everyone was required to wear a costume, (no if's, and's or but's), well you would be surprised to know that everyone complied.

This is a week late but I wanted to post pictures of some of the decorations and goodies that I made.  Can't wait to do it again next year.
 Spiderweb cupcakes
Ghostly goody bags
Framed images were cut from my cricut and free-hand

A couple of centerpieces
Halloween trees

A spiderweb here and there from a not so small creepy-crawly

And since I was a witch, here is my Witches' Brew

Haunted Halloween Mini #1

This is a 6x9 mini that I made with envelopes, used chipboard covers, lots of stickles, tags, stickers, chipboard pieces, plastic spider and googly eyes (they're watching).  There is room for journaling and lots of photos.  Leave a comment and let me know what you think.

I will try to post the other mini tomorrow and also some pictures of my mantel.
Have fun creating!

Altered Halloween...

With Halloween around the corner I decided to altered this and enter Live-Teach-Create's October Challenge.  Can you guess what it is???
It's a matchbox! (yes they still exist)
It is very small and only measures 2"x1⅜", does size matter? I think not!
I painted all sides of the insert with Pitch Black acrylic paint and added Crystal Stickles to the already green (boo!) chipboard, as well as the pumpkin's eyes.  This was a lot of fun!  And as always hope you have a great day and have fun creating.

Update: It's been a while

Well, I'm back!  I know it's been a while but I decided to take a blog break. Now I am back and refreshed (kinda). The last time I posted I was preparing for a local scrapbook sale, that happens twice a year.  This was my first time as a vendor and it didn't go bad from what I hear...could have gone better...and it will next time now have a sense of what was liked.  The ones that sold very quickly were tags, specially the round scalloped Christmas tags I posted here .  Here are others I made but never posted (they have liquid pearls on the first four).
I will be posting pictures of another mini I made this week.  But in the mean time have a great day and create!

Cards, Crops and Cardstock

There are times that life gets so busy, for me its the beginning of summer, beginning of school through New Year (and some times in between).

Lately I have been setting a few things aside for a scrap/craft sale for this weekend as well as making cards and some Christmas gift tags to sell as well, here a few samples:

I joined a meet-up group back in April, they have a couple of monthly crops, well I have been postponing this since then, you see I really like to scrap alone therefore a bit intimidated going to a place where I don't know anyone.  So, I went online and RSVP'd yes, figuring that I will force myself to go and therefore accomplish something or at least get rid on my fear.  It was from 10am to 11pm, (way too long for my first time) but did manage to stay until 4pm.

Well to my surprise it was nice to meet other people that enjoy creating.  They were very nice and talented and very helpful.  Needless to say I chatted a bit and didn't accomplish much, I took a couple of minis that I desperately need to finish (almost but didn't).  And then, there was someone selling scrapbooking supplies, lots!  It will take me too long to describe everything but I will tell some of what I bought:

Glimmer mist, Stickles, Ice Stickles (trying this for the first time), Transfer titles by My Mind's Eye, French Twist word rubons from Autumn Leaves (so adorable), Textured and Glittered Halloween rubons from My Little Yellow Bicycle (stinkin cute), Petaloo Dahlia box green/brown blend.

And also some Teresa Collins cardstock, I never used anything from her line but I am LOVING this cardstock...I see a mini coming to mind, here are some 12x12's from the Journal-it and Documented collections:

These are from the Journal-it Girl and Crush collections:

Until soon, meanwhile have fun creating!
